Littoral Landscape, 2018
University of Winnipeg
Littoral Landscape is a a solo exhibition of new mixed media that examines human and natural interactions along the shores of Lake Winnipeg. This new work arises from my site-responsive interventions on a remote stone beach in 2016, which used light sensitive photographic paper, video and audio to record changes in the environment. The following summer, I shifted my focus to the southwest shore of Dunnottar, Manitoba and the seasonal pole piers that enable human interaction with the lake. The exhibition installations offer an immersive experience and consider humans, the lake and the piers as parallel breathing systems.
